Dartmouth Climbs the Ranks: Free Speech Gains in FIRE’s 2026 Survey

Dartmouth made one of the most significant improvements this year — adopting institutional neutrality and earning “green-light” status under FIRE’s new criteria — as student perceptions of administrative support for free speech also rose sharply.
